Read-a-Thon

We're excited to read together to support our school! Join us as we read as many minutes as we can in two weeks (January 26th - February 9th) while raising money to enhance learning. 

What is Dallin’s Read-A-Thon?
Dallin’s Read-A-Thon is a fun new way to get our community reading, and excited about reading, while raising funds for our great school. Students and families can set goals for their reading, and share out their accomplishments for pledges/ donations from neighbors, family, coworkers and friends around the world. These funds directly support Dallin’s STEAM programing (including Discovery Museum visits), field trips, teacher supplies and more.

How do I find my student's fundraising page?

Student fundraising pages can be found by clicking on the student's grade level, and then finding their name on the alphabetical list. If your student is not listed, then it is likely that the family is not registered in the directory.  If this is the case, please feel free to register for the directory, or simply donate to the student's grade level as a whole!

Ask your child to show you their Read-A-Thon bookmark! Students can keep track of their daily minutes read, and it includes a QR code that links to Read-A-Thon fundraising pages and our Digital Reading Log.

All Types of Reading Count!

In school, out of school, audiobooks, personal reading, or being read to – it all counts! Plus double minutes for reading with a buddy.

Read-A-Thon Bingo

Dive into a good book - and make a splash! Kick off week two of our Read-a-Thon with a bingo game sent home with your child on Monday, February 2nd. Students can check off squares as they work through each reading adventure.

School Wide Goals & Prizes

The community will work together to try to reach a school wide goal of 200,000 minutes read! As we reach this goal, students will earn fun, school-wide incentives.
