Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training for adults who frequently interact with youth. This training provides the tools a layperson needs to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health and substance use challenges in adolescents. Participants will leave the training having learned and practiced a 5-step action plan for when faced with youth in crisis and non-crisis situations. Here is a one-pager that gives a bit more information about what folks will learn in the training and why it’s so important.
