Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training for adults who frequently interact with youth. Learners receive free comprehensive materials on how to recognize common signs of mental health concerns in adolescents, the language and skills to talk to youth about suicide, how to connect youth to care, and a list of community and national referral resources.

This training is open to anyone connected to Arlington and/or neighboring communities that support Arlington youth (e.g., parents, caregivers, community members - anyone that lives, works, has family/friends in Arlington, or knows any Arlington youth), and is free thanks to a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Upcoming training dates:

  • Tuesday, June 3 (12-3:30pm) & Tuesday, June 10 (12-3:30pm)
  • Wednesday, July 23 (8:30am- 4pm)
  • Tuesday, August 5 (8:30am-4pm)
