Children's Hospital Toy/Activity Drive

 

Have you seen the posters around Dallin advertising a toy/activity drive for Boston Children's Hospital? The donation drive is sponsored by a troop of 5th grade Girl Scouts working on their Agent of Change badge. The troop has been learning about ways they can help their community and decided on the donation drive as their "take action" project. The toys and activities will be given to children undergoing medical procedures or experiencing long-term hospital stays. Items on the wish list have been carefully chosen by the hospital's Child Life Specialists and will provide a welcome distraction for children during their hospital visits. In February, the troop will take the donations to the Waltham branch of Children's Hospital and meet with a Child Life Specialist to learn more about their work.
