Playworks Junior Coach program

This year’s Playworks Junior Coach program was an incredible success! We were fortunate to have a wonderful group of 4th and 5th grade students who helped make recess more fun, welcoming, and positive for all of our students. From organizing games and helping younger students join in, to problem-solving conflicts and bringing enthusiasm to the playground, our Junior Coaches made a real difference.

Junior Coaches met twice a month before school and brought great energy, leadership, and positivity to every meeting and recess shift. They were especially beloved by our Kindergarten students, who thought they were rock stars. Watching our older students model kindness, responsibility, and inclusion for our youngest learners was a highlight of the year.

We will miss our 5th grade Junior Coaches as they head off to middle school and are so grateful for the leadership and joy they brought to Dallin. We hope many of our current 4th graders will return next year to continue building the program. Thank you to all of our Junior Coaches for helping make recess a place where students could have fun, feel included, and enjoy being part of our amazing school community.
