Upcoming Multicultural Cafes

The Arlington Multilingual Learner Parent Advisory Council (MLPAC)'s goal is to support families who have moved from abroad as they adjust to life in Arlington. Many parents have questions about the school system or life in the U.S., worry about their children’s English proficiency, or simply feel overwhelmed by all the new things they need to navigate. Through MLPAC, we try to bring families together, help them make connections, and provide a welcoming place where they can ask questions and share their concerns and experiences.

The group will be organizing informal Multicultural Cafés every other week.  These are open to everyone and offer a great opportunity for multilingual families to meet others in the Arlington community. Whether families are brand new to Arlington or have been here for a while, everyone is welcome. We hope to see many of them there!

Meetings take place on Fridays from 8:30-9:30 am at Kickstand Cafe, 594 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington.  Upcoming meetings are on October 2, 16, and 30; November 13; and December 4 and 18.
